Toipc maps are a great way to store metadata and metadata is how you find things such as in a library card catalog. They are a really exciting way to manage Web pages and metadata. And this book explains both the history and the future of XTM and topic maps. But don't pick this up if you're not already very familiar with XML and knowledge management. If you're looking to design an information architecture for a large Web site, you will be interested in this book.
